Where do we go from here?
Most new clients have been referred to Mike by a colleague, by a vendor representative, or have caught one of his postings on a web site or web log. After an initial phone conversation, many potential clients simply schedule a one day visit to get to know Mike and work out a plan with the selection committee on how to proceed. A typical day includes:
- High-level department walk through and workflow observation
- High-level site analysis
- Open discussion of issues
- Formal presentation on an area of interest
- Luncheon with committee or board
This visit is followed by a written summary of the day.
This approach provides the selection team with a relatively low-cost way to "interview" Mike, while gaining some invaluable information that will help determine how best to proceed.
